FUSEBOX is a multi-arts space for young people where ideas and imaginations will be sparked and dreams realised.

Creative Youth have long dreamed of having a creative playground in Kingston, a place for young people to produce work, try new things, learn, share and develop their talents. Now, that dream is becoming a reality. Situated under John Lewis in Kingston, FUSEBOX is now open to the public so check out our opening hours below.

About FUSEBOX

Formerly known as the Undercroft, FUSEBOX is a place for young people, emerging artists, key academic partners, and community organisations locally, nationally and internationally to come together. With innovation, diversity and inclusion at its heart, it is a multi-functional space, with areas for performance, exhibitions, creative practice, socialising, co-creation and more.

It will also be a home to FUSE International and our Creative Talent artists. The venue will evolve in close collaboration with young people and the local arts community. In short it will be your space, to build your future.

Creative Youth have held a vison for many years – to establish a home for young creatives.  Thanks to the Royal Borough of Kingston, The Mayor of London and John Lewis this has now become a reality.

FUSEBOX is a new multi-arts space developed by Creative Youth for young people, emerging artists and community organisations locally, nationally and internationally. It will make way for community collaboration, become a space for young people to develop new skills, and provide a social setting to connect, create and experiment.

Creative Youth are the guardians of this space, which is situated beneath John Lewis on the riverside of Kingston upon Thames. With careful consideration of the site’s heritage, and embracing the creativity which young people can bring, Creative Youth are thrilled to be part of the regeneration of the space and wider public realm areas.

We are a registered charity, so your generosity will help us thrive and grow so we can support more young people in Kingston, in the UK and on the global stage.

Our partners

The development of FUSEBOX has happened with the support of, and in close collaboration with, our partners including: Mayor of London, Kingston Council, Kingston College, Kingston University, Kingston First, Rose Theatre, Kingston Museum, Arts Council England and Kingston Music Service.

The space will form a crucial part of the regeneration of the riverside area and to the wider Kingston town centre. The impact of the pandemic, with all its economic and other consequences, means this objective is more vital than ever. It will become an integral part of the region’s recovery.
